Secondhand shopping guidebook + ApP

2024, indesign and Figma

About the project

For my Typography course, I created an 8” x 8” guidebook to flea markets and second-hand shops in San Diego, highlighting the environmental and stylistic value of thrifting. I developed a cohesive visual system using intentional type pairings, a modular grid, original photography, icons, and a custom map, along with a companion app concept. The project emphasizes hierarchy, rhythm, and branded consistency while balancing form and function.

About the project

Building on my printed guidebook project, I designed a companion app prototype in Figma that expands the experience through interactive design. The app creates a digital secondhand shopping platform where users can browse curated items, discover style inspiration from other users, find local thrift stores through a map and user reviews, and sell clothing.

Using the same visual system from the guidebook—including typography, icons, and my original photography—the prototype translates the print project into an intuitive, community-focused digital experience.
